Berlin Nights
I have always found it easier to shoot in a foreign city than in my own. You approach your work fresh and unbiased; you take everything in, nothing is faded out, everything is looked at with an open mind. With this mindset, I regularly wander through the districts of my own city, Berlin, to capture the atmosphere and to experiment.
Working with a still camera instead of a cine camera forces me to capture everything in a single frame. an experience that sharpens my eye, and also finds its way back into my work with moving images. You can find inspiration from outside, or you can create it yourself. driven by those few magic moments trying to repeat the rewarding moment and find more eye candy.
